A 6-year-old girl stumbled across a concrete hole in the ground while playing near her home in the UK.
When she decided to take a closer look at the hole in the waterside area of Londonderry, she spotted a dog. The dog, who was thrown into the hole to pass away among the waste and sludge, with cracked teeth, emaciated and blind.
So the girl went straight home and asked her father to follow her to the cave. Father Kenny and daughter Cara rescued the dog and brought her home before contacting the Rainbow Rehoming Centre, which relocates and rescues homeless and abandoned cats and dogs.
The dog named Bella got the medical care and love she needed. The veterinarian at the centre knew she was completely blind and could not give birth to puppies because she had been used for breeding.
Then they realize Bella is affectionate, loving, and tender, despite what happened to her.Her story was shared online and went viral directly among animal lovers around the world.
She was then moved to foster care until she found a forever home. Thankfully, her forever family stepped in after seeing her picture and adopted her in 2014.
Unfortunately, she made peace with her beloved family in 2015. At least, despite being abandoned for too long, she died in her eternal home.
