Donna from St. Louis Stray Rescue heard the distressing cries of an abandoned puppy on a snowy road, she followed the sound to find an injured puppy, trembling and screaming in fear, in a pile of snow.
Approaching the weak puppy, Donna’s heart was completely broken. The poor baby smelled of infection from a perishing wound on the side, and had a condition called paraphimosis, which is found in uncircumcised males and requires proper treatment.
The puppy, now named Weezer, seemed very grateful the moment Donna found him. Although he was in pain, his terrified cries lessened when she took him to the car. He feels safe and conveys it with a heart wagging tail!
Donna sent him to a trauma center, where he received treatment. Veterinarians discovered the infected wound was the result of an embedded seat belt, which its owner must have brutally put on him.
Weezer, who is about 7 months old, has recovered a lot. We thank Donna for her love and concern and wish sweet Weezer a better life. Our prayers and love go to this precious puppy!
