Gabe was enjoying his birthday party outdoors near New York’s East River when a commotion on the water caught his attention. He looked at the noise and noticed a black and white dog struggling to float in the water. Castellanos’ birthday party guests saw the dog’s plight and suggested Castellanos should jump into the river to save the dog.
After a while, the man jumped into the river and swam towards the confused dog. But when Gabe tried to catch the poor dog, it bit him.
But the man understood that the dog’s behavior was because he was extremely frightened, so he ignored the pain and continued to rescue until the helpless dog was brought ashore.
Onlookers cheered the pair as a helicopter hovered overhead monitoring the dog’s rescue.Once on the ground, the dog is eventually reunited with its owner.
Apparently, the dog, named Harper, escaped from his walker. No one knows how he fell into the river.
