As shelter volunteers drove to a dog rescue shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia, they spotted a dog on the road, standing alone in the rain.
As they got closer, the dog ran off the road and into the bushes. When rescuers approached, the dog began to show signs of aggression, but only because she was scared.
They tried to coax her out with food, and after much trial and patience, the dog finally decided she would trust them.
She allowed them to pet her and even picked her up and put her in their car. They then took her to their shelter and decided to name her ‘Lady.’
Now she’s feeling better, she’s no longer trapped in the cold downpour. Thankfully, she was given a clean bill of health and the best care and love.
Just one month later, Lady was adopted by a loving family! She now has a large backyard to run around and play with her new puppy brother, and a warm bed to sleep in instead of being left out in the rain.
