Dumping or abandoning an animal is never a feasible option, but there are ruthless people out there who couldn’t care less what happens to their poor creatures.
A little Pit Bull was recently discovered roaming the woods of Pennypack Park, according to the Pennsylvania SPCA in Philadelphia. Whoever abandoned the sweet dog was unconcerned about what happened to her or whether she lived or died.
The lovely puppy had disfiguring facial injuries and was clearly a victim of dog abuse, according to a closer inspection. Her eyes were downcast, her body was slumped, and she was sure she’d die alone in the park if she didn’t get help.
The Pennsylvania SPCA took her in and christened her Lavendar, or Lovie as she was affectionately known. Lovie would require a lot of love and attention, but the rescue organization sprang right in to help.
Lovie’s abandonment wasn’t the most pressing problem for her rescuers. Instead, doctors were concerned about her disfigured face, which “had impaired her nasal pathways with no nostrils visible.” She can breathe through her lips for the time being, but she may never be able to breathe regularly again.”
Nobody knows who put Lovie in the woods, why she was dumped there, or how she ended up with such horrific injuries. The Pennsylvania SPCA is hoping that someone will identify Lovie and be able to share information about her.
They want to provide her with a loving home and the best medical care possible, but the Humane Law Enforcement team would like to track down the monster who attacked Lovie.
“Please contact us immediately if you recognize her, have information about her owner, or observed her being discarded,” the Pennsylvania SPCA stated on Facebook. “Any anonymous information can be sent to cruelty@pspca.org or to the organization’s hotline, 866-601-7722.”
