Ricky, the poor little guy, was discovered inside an Amazon cardboard box, abandoned.
He was saved thankfully, but when they tried to feed him, they realized something was amiss. They couldn’t figure out why the meal wasn’t reaching his stomach.
Ricky was then sent to the hospital for a series of examinations, including x-rays and CT scans.
Ricky was diagnosed with megaesophagus, a condition in which dogs are unable to swallow food normally because their esophagus lacks the muscular tone and motility required to move food and water. Instead, the esophagus dilates, causing food to back up and vomit the meal.
Ricky’s previous owners, instead of dealing with the problem, decided to discard him on the streets like trash.
Ricky, on the other hand, would never be abandoned again. He was suddenly surrounded by people who adored him and would treat him with the respect he deserved.
Ricky has even found a loving forever home, where his ailment will be treated and he will be able to eat with ease.
