In Bulgaria a lot of people abandon puppies and kittens on the streets. And all those animals need help. This isn’t the first abandoned dog and sadly it won’t be the last.
Stoyan and Dessy have saved the lives of many stray animals in Bulgaria. They have four pets in their home, all of which were rescued from the streets.
Bulgaria is a small, impoverished country with a large number of stray pets and a scarcity of kind people to take them in. With the aid of Dessy’s mother, they hope to create a shelter where they can care for a large number of stray pets.
Most of the time, they rescue cats, but they couldn’t let this little one die of frostbite. It has been snowing for the previous few days, and due to the amount of snow, most highways have been closed.
When Stoyan went out to get groceries one night, he came across the sad puppy. The poor animal was frozen to death on the side of the road.
They approached the dog gently with a blanket, noticing that it was limping. They were able to get the dog inside and keep him warm after a few struggles.
It took a long time for the dog to trusted them and accepted the food they offered.
