Tonino Vitale lives in Italy with his labrador puppy Dylan, whom he adores.
Dylan has lived a long life at the age of thirteen. Regrettably, the passage of time has left its imprint on his body.
Vitale took Dylan to the vet when he noticed that he was becoming less energetic.
Dylan was diagnosed with arthritis there.
Arthritis is a disease that affects the joints, and it is unfortunately very common in older dogs.
Arthritis causes pain and discomfort in one or more joints, as well as stiffness and mobility problems.
Dylan’s diagnosis served as a stark reminder to Vitale that the sweet dog would not live indefinitely.
Vitale made the decision to take Dylan on a special walk every day in order to make his remaining time on earth as enjoyable as possible.
Dylan’s arthritis was making it too painful and exhausting for him to go for a long walk alone, but Vitale had a solution.
Vitale constructed a cart for Dylan to lie on, then wheeled Dylan and the cart around the park, allowing the pup to take in the fresh air and exciting scenery.
And, not long after Vitale began taking Dylan for his daily “walk,” he noticed that the senior dog was becoming more alert and happy.
Vitale’s devotion to his dog has not gone unnoticed, and one of his neighbors was able to capture a video of the adorable couple one day.
The video has since gone viral, and we’re confident that it will encourage more people to go above and beyond for their senior dogs.
