A puppy’s heartbreaking cries were finally heard after he collapsed in a gutter.
Animal Aid Unlimited, India, wrote, “We received an urgent call on our helpline reporting a puppy who had been heard crying from within a closed sewage gutter.”
“Our rescuers had to lift a large slab of cement covering the gutter, and laying in the water was a puppy who appeared to be taking his last breaths, his nose falling into the water due to his weakness.”
His rescuers write, “We scooped him out but discovered he had serious neurological problems.”
Despite the fact that little Leo was safe, he couldn’t stand up straight and was constantly circling and falling over. They feared he would never be able to walk again. But, after a few days of being confused, this determined puppy began to re-learn how to walk.
