This little baby had suffered too much since she was born…
They found Yaska in a abandoned garage. No one took care of her, she had to survive all by herself. She was bald, swollen from the inside with worms of various stripes as eating too many dirties. She also lost an eye somewhere. Pus flows from the eye socket. The condition of the skin can be seen in the video. It was so severe.
Although all those pain, she is still cheerful and active. They took her to the hospital, tested for infections and did an ultrasound of the entire body.
In short, she scabies mites, flea dermatitis, and an associated bacterial skin infection. It is not difficult, but it is treated for a long time: bathing, rubbing, drops…
Her eye was removed badly, not completely, therefore it flows. The ophthalmologist has now refused to sew up, since the anaesthesia risk is high.
“Yaska is still very small and weakened. We will remove the remnants of the eye and sew up after 6 months. Treatment should be continued for at least 2 more months. Rubbing it with oil after bathing and daily wiping the entire Yaska with a solution of chlorhexidine.”
“In a month, I think, at such a rate of recovery, she will already be a beauty, even more beautiful than she is.” Her Vet said.
“Yaska eats well, plays a lot, runs fast and jumps high. We have been treating for 2 weeks now and the results are excellent.” Vet continue.
The flea eggs fell off, all the damaged fine hair fell out, there were almost no sores left.
She does not itchy anymore and does not tear herself apart! She is covered in fresh bristles and fluff: the fur grows very quickly.
The eye also flows much less. Almost no flow at all. They wipe once a day and that’s enough. It will need to be completely removed and sewn up, but not earlier than half a year.
While she is still too small for anesthesia, she is at foster house and now she has everything that a child should have, and unconditional love, of course.
“There are still manipulations with the eye ahead. It’s a pity for the eye, it certainly could have been saved, but even without it, Yaska is a completely charming dog.”
