This story is about a poor puppy named Rumble who was abandoned in the bushes near a mobile home park in Clarkson, Michigan, and was on the verge of death.
A Good Samaritan heard the 5-week-old dog’s agonizing cries and went to investigate, only to discover Rumble covered in maggots! Rumble was rushed to Canine Companions Rescue Center by the Good Samaritan.
Because of his unfortunate circumstances, the dog’s survival was feared at the rescue center. Rumble was partially blind due to blunt force trauma to his face and eyes, and a fractured skull had left him with severe brain damage. He was put on life support in the hopes of improving his condition.
Unfortunately, because he did not respond to treatment, his condition worsened. Until he was stable, the staff looked after him 24 hours a day, seven days a week. After a month of healing, he began to show some personality. However, he will take a long time to recover completely.
The police, on the other hand, have arrested Rumble’s abusers, Jeremy Atkins and Heather Bradley. After admitting to attacking him and leaving him to die, they were charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty!
