This is the story of Landis, a pit bull who spent the first two years of his life in a cage because his previous owners would not let him out.
Landis’ body became deformed and dwarfed as he grew up in the cage, which was too small for him during those two years.
Fortunately, Landis was taken to an animal hospital in Georgia to be evaluated, in the hopes that his flat feet and hunched body could be treated.
Thankfully, the shelter provided Landis with the excellent care he required. Despite being in a shelter, he was in a true paradise. The shelter then contacted Second Chance Rescue for help, and they agreed to take him in in New York City.
To help him straighten out his body, he received hydrotherapy, physical therapy, and medical treatment.
Landis, despite having had a difficult life, was still adorable and enjoyed receiving attention from everyone he met.
Thankfully, he was adopted by a loving family near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and he can now relax on the beach and straighten his legs in the sand.
