DAR Animal rescue received a phone call from a woman at an office who asked them to pick up a puppy in dire need of help.
When rescue workers arrived at the office, they discovered that the pup had been hit by a car on the road directly in front of their building. The person who hit him continued driving and left him to die on the side of the road.
They rushed the puppy to the pup, where they discovered that it had been abused and mutilated prior to being hit by a car. With what appeared to be a pair of scissors, someone had cut off both of his ears.
Lucky, the poor pup, had already been subjected to so much cruelty in such a short period of time. He’d been mutilated and abandoned before being hit by a car and abandoned once more.
Despite everything that had happened to him, Lucky still had faith in humans and allowed veterinarians to assist him in any way they saw fit.
Lucky required stitches for his wounds from being hit by the car, but he escaped with no broken bones.
Lucky is now recovering at DAR Animal Rescue until he is ready to go to his new forever home, which has already been found for him by one of his rescuers!
