A local resident named Graham Dobson was on his way to work when he found a sad and scared dog chained to a lamppost at the roadside in Hull. He fed the dog and waited for his owner to return to retrieve him. Unfortunately, the heartless owner did not return for several hours, and the poor dog was abandoned. So Dobson quickly called the dog warden to come and get him.
The poor dog seemed to be waiting for his family to come back, but deep down, he realized that he had been abandoned and didn’t know why his family left him behind. Dobson is just hoping that someone will give him the forever home he deserves.
“It was heartbreaking to see he had been left and how upset he was, as he was a real nice dog and so friendly. He was scared. I’m not sure why people would just dump a dog. “I adore animals and would never want to see them abandoned or mistreated,” Dobson explained.
The boxer is now cared by Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire Boxer Rescue. They renamed him Max and are looking for a good home for him.
The rescue posted, “Max is doing very well and has gone to stay with a very experienced foster home, where the family is helping us to assess and care for him.” Sweet Max has received numerous applications. “As you can imagine, we have received an overwhelming amount of interest and applications for Max, but for the time being, we believe it is best to focus on his care and further assess his needs.”
Right now Max is being showered with love, and he will soon find his forever home. We hope he is never neglected or mistreated again.
