Officer Maharaj of the New York Police Department (USA) participated in the rescue of the dog that was abandoned by its owner in a dead vehicle, where his life was in danger due to heat and lack of air. The team had to break the glass to get it out, but it survived and found a new home.
In the city of New York (United States), the neighbors reported to the police about a puppy that had been locked in a car and completely alone.
The vehicle was turned off, the windows were burning with heat and the dog was distressed and suffocated. The District 19 Police Department responded quickly to the emergency because the animal’s life was in danger.
The puppy was locked in the vehicle for two hours, according to the officers, but he was lucky that more people saw him and came to his rescue.
As seen in the video, the officers gradually broke one of the vehicle’s windows in order to remove it, allowing air to enter and the puppy to breathe after hours.
The policemen had the necessary tools to break the glass, so they did not take long to do so. One of them tried to open the door through the same window, but it was apparently locked, so they had to work harder.
Yesterday’s afternoon temps hovered in the mid 80’s & on an 85° day, it only takes 10 mins for the inside of a car to reach a deadly 102°!
