It’s unclear what happened to him while he was homeless, but rescuers and vet staff knew they’d do whatever they could to help him.
Romeo quickly demonstrated that his injuries had not broken his spirit.
Romeo miraculously began walking again after weeks and weeks of physical therapy, and after a month, he was already running!
But Romeo wasn’t yet out of the woods. His eyes were constantly tearing, and vets diagnosed him with Entropion, a condition in which the eyelids turn inward. Fortunately, he had a successful surgery and his eyes were restored to normal.
Despite the fact that Romeo was a very loving and affectionate dog, the rescue had difficulty finding him the perfect home. They did receive some applications for him, but many families reconsidered adopting him after learning about Romeo’s previous injuries.
Romeo’s prayers were finally answered after four months of waiting. He found a loving forever home!
